The Wilmore Campmeeting Board of Directors rejoices as we announce our new President Frederic P. Walsh.

Fred, a Wilmore resident, fills the vacancy created when Allan Holmes resigned after many years of service to move out of state. Holmes was instrumental in the sale of the Wilmore Campmeeting Grounds to Confrontation Point Ministries and negotiating to bring the 121st annual Campmeeting to the Asbury University campus last July.

The 122nd Wilmore Campmeeting will be on the University campus July 15-20, 2012.

Mr. Walsh retired from the United States Air Force in 1989 in the rank of major. He served on the Board of Trustees of four United Methodist churches between 1980 and 2005 overseeing three major construction projects and three real estate purchases.

Walsh moved to Kentucky in 2005 transferring his membership to the Nicholasville UMC where he has been the prayer coordinator since 2006. That same year, he started volunteering with the Wilmore Campmeeting prayer committee.

Mr. Walsh and his wife Patricia moved to Wilmore in 2010. They have two adult married children and four grandchildren.
